Corporate yachting in Palma de Mallorca.

Palma de Mallorca is the premier yachting hub of the Mediterranean. Club de Mar Palma, our main base, sits 15 minutes from PMI international airport with direct flights from 40-plus European cities. More than 800 commercial charter yachts are registered on Mallorca — the highest concentration in the Mediterranean after the French Riviera.

The Copa del Rey MAPFRE in the first week of August is one of the most prestigious regattas in the Mediterranean, drawing international-class sailors. Corporate clients regularly use those dates for hybrid programmes: a branded corporate flotilla running alongside the official regatta, which gives access to private parties and tier-one media attention.

The Bay of Palma has a feature unique in the Mediterranean — the thermal Embat breeze, which blows from 14:00 to 19:00 at 12 to 18 knots. That delivers ideal, predictable conditions for day regattas and team building: a business agenda ashore in the morning, guaranteed wind on the water in the afternoon, and dinner in the cathedral old town in the evening.

What makes it different

Why Palma de Mallorca

Three facts our routes are built on. Every data point is verified and drawn from our validated destinations dataset.

  • 01

Palma hosts the annual Copa del Rey MAPFRE regatta, one of the most important sailing competitions in the Mediterranean.

  • 02

The Bay of Palma benefits from a reliable thermal sea breeze known as the Embat, giving ideal conditions for afternoon regattas.

  • 03

Sailing itineraries can include the Cabrera Archipelago National Park, a pristine marine reserve accessible by permit only.

The Cabrera Archipelago is a national marine park 30 km south of Mallorca, accessible by special permit only, with a limit of 50 yachts at once in the park's waters. For corporate programmes it gives an exclusive ESG asset: a documented entry into one of the most strictly protected marine zones in Spain, with marine biologists observing on board and a private anchorage in the sheltered bay of Cabrera Castle.

The gastronomy programme in Palma is one of the most interesting in the Mediterranean. The Michelin kitchens of Marc Fosh, Adrián Quetglas and DaiCa are all within walking distance of Club de Mar. For VVIP programmes we arrange private dinners in the historic wineries of the Tramuntana (a UNESCO mountain range) with a Michelin chef and sommelier for 20 to 30 people.

A private Cabrera visit under the national park's permit is an ESG asset none of our competitors has in their annual report. It earned an upgrade in our B-Corp status.

FAQ

What buyers ask us most.

Eight questions we receive every week from HR directors and CEOs. Not finding yours? Drop us a line — we reply within 24 hours.

What is special about the Copa del Rey MAPFRE?
It is one of the oldest regattas in the Mediterranean, held in the first week of August. Corporate branded flotillas can sail a parallel course without entering the official scoring. Booking a berth at Club de Mar needs at least 12 months; prices are 100 to 200 % above the baseline.
Can we visit Cabrera?
Yes, by permit from the Parque Nacional, with a limit of 50 yachts at once. We request the permit four months ahead; the programme includes a marine biologist on board (mandatory under park rules) and an anchorage in the sheltered bay of Cabrera Castle. A day permit costs €80 per yacht.
How much does a programme on Mallorca cost?
From €500 per person per night. During the Copa del Rey (first week of August) it is €900 to €1,200. The price includes the yacht, crew, marina fees, basic catering and insurance. Branding, premium catering and a helicopter shuttle are separate.
What is the language of service?
English at level 5 of 5 is standard; Spanish and Catalan are native; French, German and Italian are common. It is the most multilingual location in our portfolio, which removes communication risk for international groups.
What about a branding programme?
Producing branded sails takes three weeks at Quantum Sails Palma, one of the leading sail lofts in the world. An in-house drone photographer is €4,000 a day, with 200-plus photos within five working days. A private hire of historic venues (the cathedral terrace, La Llotja) runs €15,000 to €50,000 for an evening.
