A luxury sailing yacht in a Balearic bay at sunset — a Spanish corporate incentive setting
Spain

Corporate yachting in Spain.

Spain is the home market of Mediterranean yachting and one of the best in the world for combining infrastructure, English and logistics. The Balearic Islands, with two of our bases — Palma de Mallorca and Ibiza — sit at the epicentre of European corporate charter: more than 800 commercial yachts are registered on Mallorca, and Palma hosts four major regattas, including the Copa del Rey MAPFRE.

The season runs from April to October, with programmes possible on Mallorca even in March (for strategy offsites paired with a shoreside agenda and short day sails). Palma airport is the fourth busiest in Spain; direct flights from 40-plus European cities make it the best choice for large groups with international participants. The transfer to Club de Mar takes 15 minutes.

Spain's ESG maturity is among the leaders of the Mediterranean: the waters between Ibiza and Formentera are UNESCO-listed for their Posidonia seagrass meadows, and our partners are required to use electronic moorings to protect the seabed. On Mallorca, Cabrera National Park is accessible by permit only, which makes it an ideal anchor point for exclusive incentive programmes.

English in Spain, and especially in the Balearics, is the best in the Mediterranean (5 of 5 on our scale). That removes a large share of communication risk for procurement teams and makes Spain the first choice for English-speaking corporations who need a smooth restaurant order, clear contact with a marina officer and unambiguous legal language in the charter contract.

As a media asset, the Spanish bases rank in the top three. Brand photography against the Palma cathedral, the approach to Es Vedrà off Ibiza, dinner on the rooftop at Marina Ibiza — these regularly become the hero visual for corporate reports and leadership LinkedIn posts. We work with a staff photographer on Mallorca and agree a moodboard to the client's brand in advance.

FAQ

What buyers ask us most.

Eight questions we receive every week from HR directors and CEOs. Not finding yours? Drop us a line — we reply within 24 hours.

Mallorca or Ibiza — which to choose for a corporate offsite?
Mallorca is for regattas, team building and strategy offsites: a wide choice of boats, the best logistics, quieter evenings. Ibiza is for high-energy incentives and client events, combining sailing with luxury service ashore. A common combination is three nights on Mallorca plus two on Ibiza.
When is the season in the Balearics?
From April to October. The peak is June and September: warm water (22 to 25 °C), a steady Embat sea breeze of 12 to 16 knots in the afternoon, minimal tourist crowding. In July and August prices are 20 to 30 % higher, and transfers and the airport call for an extra hour of buffer.
How much does a programme in the Balearics cost?
From €500 per person per night on Mallorca to €900 on Ibiza. The standard package includes the yacht, skipper, fuel, marina fees, basic catering and insurance. For Copa del Rey regattas a special entry fee applies — we prepare an itemised budget in advance.
Can we run a regatta with branded sails?
Yes — it is one of the most frequent programmes on Mallorca. Producing branded sails (mainsail and jib) takes three weeks; we work with two sail lofts in Palma. The minimum is five yachts in the flotilla, IRC handicap rules, and a drone photographer on every race.
What about the language of service?
On Mallorca, English is at level 5 of 5; Spanish and Catalan are native. French, German and Italian are also common among crews. Russian-speaking support can be arranged on request six weeks ahead — we have two dedicated partners in Palma.
